“Things My Mother Said”

“You don’t believe fat meat is greasy?” was one of the many phrases that came from the mouth of my Mom,as a young “hardheaded” inner city boy on Chicagos south side… “hardheaded” was another such term she used. What amazes me until very day is that without “definition or asking” woe, I was kidding about that last part “we dare not ask” but somehow we understood ….
I guess it had something to do with the tone. Well I miss my Mother, she left us over a year ago a few day before Christmas ( Cancer) she left me and my siblings with plenty to share with our children and grandchildren I however leave little to interpretation just the standard “do what I say or it will be hell to pay”… hmm…I guess the apple doesn’t fall very far from the tree…
